A brand new initiative from the creators of Wired Music Week, DJs Playground and AMP Asia, From The Live Deck (FTLD) arrived back in December of 2021 to host the very first staycation music bootcamp in Malaysia, re:LIVE. Held in-person at Momo’s Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, as well as live-streamed all around the world, the 3-day and 2-night event catered to house and dance music DJs, giving them the perfect opportunity to take their careers to the next level.
"We at Kardinal have always been a strong advocate of music
and self-empowerment, and we're very excited to be with FTLD in supporting and
empowering the creative music industry." - Ronald Yeo, Creative Director of
Kardinal
From December 4th till December 6th, attendees of re:LIVE had the chance to foster genuine relationships with fellow musicians and industry professionals, take part in talks and workshops, as well as take on exciting and creative challenges. With partners such as Native Instruments, Astralwerks, Mixmag Asia, SONY and many more, re:LIVE was an incredibly successful event, and certainly the first of many more exciting initiatives from FTLD.
“We were pleasantly surprised and thrilled that so many
music enthusiasts came together during the bootcamp. We at Kardinal are
humbled and inspired to be part of this experience,” commented Ronald Yeo,
Creative Director of Kardinal after experiencing re:LIVE personally.
“It’s exciting to hear how inspired and talented these young Malaysian artists
are, creating sonics that are unlike anywhere else in the Western world. I’d like
to encourage the best of the best to continue showing us what you got for
future competitions throughout Asia, and I'm looking forward to hearing your
music soon,” - Maximillian Yu, Head A&R of the #1 US Dance Music Label -
Astralwerks.
