Mel Ody is undoubtedly dropping some of his best music this year, making sure to keep himself busy while adding to his ever-expanding catalog of songs that masterfully combine orchestral and electronic elements. For his latest release, he enlists Canadian singer/songwriter Arielle Minx to offer a fresh cover for “Feeling Good”, an undisputed classic that has been covered by the likes of Muse and Michael Bublé, as well as electronic acts such as NGHTMRE & Slander, and the late Avicii.
Out via Killabite Media, “Feeling Good” definitely has a classy flair to it, while it’s filled with nods to future bass and touches of orchestral elements. Arielle Minx’s tender voice works like a charm on top of Mel Ody’s infectious instrumental, that moves from carefree vibes in the verses, to a drop that explodes into a series of string layers, slick piano melodies, and gritty bass.
